Plush Patterned Carpet for a Formal Hewlett Living Room
This grand Hewlett living room, with its formal drapery, marble fireplace surround, and richly detailed millwork, called for wall-to-wall carpet substantial enough to match the scale of the room.
We selected a densely constructed patterned carpet in warm golds and creams, bordered to define the room's edges and complement the existing marble threshold detail.

The Challenge
The room's large scale, ornate furnishings, and formal architecture meant a plain or low-pile carpet would have felt undersized. The pattern also needed to align cleanly with the room's symmetrical layout and marble border.
Our Solution
We reviewed the room's proportions and existing finishes before selecting a dense, patterned carpet substantial enough to hold its own against the furnishings. The installation was measured and seamed to keep the pattern centered and aligned with the room's symmetry.
Our installation included:
- Full-room measurement and pattern planning
- Carpet and border selection
- Subfloor preparation
- Precision wall-to-wall installation
- Final inspection and walkthrough
The Finished Result
The finished room feels complete, with the carpet's scale and pattern matching the formality of the space. The border detail ties cleanly into the existing marble threshold for a seamless, tailored look.
